We’re proud to share that Savvy’s Trinity College Kitchen project has been shortlisted for an Oxford Preservation Trust Award  a recognition that celebrates our dedication to excellence in heritage construction and sensitive redevelopment.

Situated within the historic grounds of Trinity College, Oxford, the project presented a series of complex challenges: demolition of the existing kitchen, deep excavation through sandy ground, and the meticulous propping and preservation of 18th-century walls - all within a fully operational college environment and a site enclosed on all sides. With no crane access, our team relied on innovative engineering solutions and precise coordination to deliver exceptional results.

The completed scheme features a contemporary two-storey kitchen complex that integrates seamlessly with the listed building, alongside the refurbishment of the dining hall and Senior Common Room. This transformation provides modern, efficient facilities that meet the needs of 21st-century college life while honouring Trinity’s architectural heritage.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making this project a success - we’re thrilled to be recognised among Oxford’s most distinguished preservation projects. Fingers crossed for the final result!
