Steve Dunne

Stephen Dunne ACIOB

Founder & CEO

Stephen commenced his career in the construction industry over 30 years ago, working as a trainee Quantity Surveyor. Following his early academic training at the City of Oxford College, Stephen obtained a degree in Construction Management from Oxford Brookes University. Stephen formed Savvy Construction Ltd in 2010, and has been instrumental in establishing the company at the forefront of the construction industry in Oxford.

Jon Peart

Jon Peart BSc (Hons) MCIOB

Managing Director

Stemming from a surveying background, Jon graduated with a Construction Management Degree with Honours. He went on to successfully achieve chartered status with the CIOB. Jon continued to push his career forward with the delivery of numerous multi-million-pound schemes while working for some of the region’s largest contractors. Obtaining vital construction experience in many different sectors of the industry, provided Jon with the knowledge and the impetus to establish a successful partnership with Stephen at Savvy, as Managing Director.

Jamie Hickman

Jamie Hickman BSc (Hons)

Commercial Manager

Jamie joined Savvy in 2015 having spent some 15 years prior to this with Leadbitter. Jamie graduated with a degree in Construction Management in 1999, and has gone on to play a key role in delivering many
multi-million pound schemes throughout Oxfordshire and the South East. Now, as Commercial Manager, with many years of experience, Jamie is playing a key role in training and developing Savvy's trainee Surveyors and Site Managers, ensuring that we can continue to provide the same high level of service for many years to come.

Paul Mitchell

Paul Mitchell

Contruction Manager

Paul has worked for Savvy Construction for over 10 years now, successfully delivering a wide range of projects, in a multitude of sectors. From a trade background, Paul worked his way through to Site Manager, Project Manager and now Construction Manager. Paul oversees all of our projects, ensuring that they are proceeding safely, on time, and to the highest possible quality. Client's and design team members all enjoy working with Paul and regularly insist in his involvement in their projects, which is a compliment to Paul's attitude, personality and overfall professionalism.

Ian Austin

Ian Austin BSc (Hons)

Head of Pre-Construction

Ian has worked as a Quantity Surveyor, an Estimator and Commercial Manager for the past 22 years in the high-end residential sector. Following graduation with a degree in Construction Management in 2001, Ian worked as a Quantity Surveyor and subsequently gained a Diploma in Quantity Surveying. Ian went on to become an Estimating Manager and has been instrumental in securing significant projects in London and the Home Counties, as well as undertaking the procurement and commercial management of them.

Julian Seago

Managing Surveyor

Julian is a member of the CIOB and a highly respected Quantity Surveyor with over 30 years’ of experience in the UK construction industry. Julian has worked on many different types of projects, including renovations and new builds, all with different types of procurement route and ranging in value from £2m to £15m.

Lee Brown

Lee Brown MRICS FRSA

Managing Surveyor

Lee joined Savvy Construction after spending 18 years working for other local and regional contractors where he gained vital experience on many different types of schemes, ranging in value from £2m to £38m. Lee is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, having previously gained his degree in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management from Oxford Brookes University.

Martin Harrell

Martin Harrell BSc (Hons)

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Martin graduated from the University of Westminster with a degree in Quantity Surveying. Since then he has worked both as a sub-contractor and main contractor in a variety of sectors and has been involved in high-profile projects like upgrading the main Energy Centre in the BBC’s White City, St. Charles Hospital Refurbishment, RAF Halton, The Strand and an NHS high dependency unit during Covid at Watford Hospital. Martin joined Savvy in 2020 and has already been instrumental in delivering several projects for the company.

Gary Smith

Gary Smith

Project Manager

Gary has worked for Savvy Construction for nearly 13 years. With a trade back ground, Gary is a highly skilled carpenter and joiner. He has however worked his way through the ranks, from a Working-Foreman to Project Manager, delivering many demanding projects for Savvy.Gary's current role is assisting our Contracts Manager, Paul Mitchell, ensuring all of our projects are delivered safely and on time, and to the necessary quality. Gary has a flair for all the necessary pre-construction activities, including producing method statements, CTMP's and setting sites up ready for commencement.

Steve Bartlett

Senior Estimator

Steve is an experienced Senior Estimator, who has worked for major and well-established contractors. He has over 30 years of estimating experience and has extensive knowledge of compiling detailed, competitive tenders. He is versed in all forms of construction contracts & procurement routes and interrogates cost and VE opportunities. Steve always seeks to offer product and methodology solutions to reduce cost and programme timescales.

Dominic Russell

Dominic Russell

Estimator

Dom is an experienced estimator with a Diploma in Construction and Built Environment. He has been responsible for compiling detailed and competitive tender submissions across a number of sectors over the last 10 years, including numerous successful tenders for large multi-million pound projects across the South East.

 

Dom is a diligent member of the team who is always happy to discuss projects with clients.

Kayleigh Preston

Kayleigh Preston

Business Development Executive 

Kayleigh has worked in Business Development across many sectors throughout her career, including the NHS and the charity sector. She is responsible for helping to support the expansion of the business and management of the tender process.

She is a diligent and organised member of the team and works closely with the directors, surveyors and estimators to help onboard, manage and deliver new projects.
