Stanford University's Oxford Building Refurbished

Savvy Maintenance & Renovations carried out a logistically challenging project to a grade II listed Stanford House, a Stanford University student accommodation building on the High Street in Oxford.

The scope of the project included the erection of scaffolding to the rear of the building and to carefully remove the existing cement-based render system to the external facade. Timber repairs to structural timbers were carried out and the installation of insulation to vastly improve the heat loss from the building. The lath system was replaced and finished with a lime render to the entire façade and painted.

Whilst the scaffolding was erected sensitive sliding sash timber repairs and painting took place, alongside an overhaul of gutters and downpipes and minor roof repairs.
