Savvy Group has been awarded a Certificate of Substantial Contribution to Oxford by the Oxford Preservation Trust (OPT) for the refurbishment works carried out on the stunning Grade II Listed, Belsyre Court in Oxford.
The judges commented, "This exquisite restoration work by St.John's College working with Savvy has made us look at this again to see it for what it is, which is a really very interesting project and a most interesting piece of inter-war architecture which is now looking probably better than it ever has in its life".
The winning project
This architectural gem in the heart of Oxford, built in 1936, provides a unique example of brick Jacobethan styling. Works included the removal and reinstatement of roof finishes on new insulation, extensive façade repairs and cleaning, the removal and replacement of three passenger lifts and the internal refurbishment of large parts of this mixed use residential and commercial building.
