Savvy Group to Renovate Yarnton Manor As A New Education Centre

Updated: Feb 16, 2022

Savvy Construction is set to fully refurbish and renovate a 17th Century, Grade II listed Jacobean Manor House located in Yarnton, Oxfordshire, for the American Laier Theological Library Foundation. Built in 1611 by the Royalist Spencer family, this historic building has changed ownership multiple times over the years and has been visited by notable figures including Charles I, the Poet Laureate John Betjeman and the novelist Iris Murdoch. The house will continue its previous use as an international educational centre, following Savvy's work to create a world-leading architectural Library within the tithe barn, full refurbishment of the house and renovation to the orangery and guest house.
