Savvy Construction has secured the contract to renovate the famous Grade II listed Eagle and Child public house in Oxford. The venue has long been a destination for tourists as the meeting place for the Inklings literary group that included the authors CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien, amongst others. The group would meet at the Eagle and Child to drink and discuss their current projects which may have included the first ideas for the epic Lord of The Rings and the Narnia tales.
Works will include the demolition of existing extensions, alterations to boundary walls and the erection of a new single-storey rear extension.
