Yarnton Manor
Oxfordshire

Background.jpg

Savvy Construction fully renovated this 17th Century, Grade II listed Jacobean Manor House located in Yarnton, Oxfordshire, for the American Lanier Theological Library Foundation. Built in 1611 by the Royalist Spencer family, this historic building has changed ownership multiple times over the years and has been visited by notable figures including Charles I, the Poet Laureate John Betjeman and the novelist Iris Murdoch. The house will continue its previous use as an international educational centre, following Savvy's work to create a world-leading architectural Library within the tithe barn, full refurbishment of the house and renovation to the orangery and guest house.
