Linacre College OC Tanner building

This negotiated 2-Stage tender for Linacre College followed on from the successfully completed Phase 1 ‘Loft’ project. Works involved the infill extension to the existing OC Tanner Building to provide a new College entrance, incorporating a much-needed passenger lift to provide disabled access to previously inaccessible areas of the building. Internally, works included the refurbishment of the lower ground floor to create a new teaching space, the refurbishment of the ‘Tanner Room’ with bespoke wall lined Oak panelling, the refurbishment of the library and common areas and the conversion of store rooms to create new WC facilities and a disabled WC. MEPH services installations included MVHR systems, underfloor heating with new lighting and AV installations and electrical distribution with high-specification accessories. External works included the installation of retaining walls, York stone paving and steps, a disabled platform lift new drainage and services installations and hard and soft landscaping and planting. This fast-paced 18-week programme was bought together by a motivated team of Clients, Consultants and Contractors to deliver a very high-quality product, on time and within budget for our delighted Client.
