Working with Gleeds Construction Consultants and Penwardenhale Architects, Savvy Construction completed the prestigious refurbishment of Balliol College Porters' Lodge. Cited as a ‘once in a generation’ scheme, this complicated project involved the reorientation of access and egress through the lodge, via new contemporary DDA compliant glass doors, allowing a secure and controlled route for visitors and College users alike. The fit-out of the Lodge included new oak floors, frameless glass partitions, and Oak joinery furniture, serving post and key rooms for College students, academics and support staff. New mechanical, electrical, security, access control, and fire detections provisions completed this highly successful scheme.
